Corofin (meaning white or foam flecked ford) is a small village located on the river Fergus in County Clare, Ireland.

James Cullinan (1816 – 1879) and his wife Johanna Feighery (1814-1917) lived in Corofin.
They were the parents of Michael Cullinan, my paternal great grandfather, and a further seven children.
The restored version of their Killeen farmhouse is shown below.

Both James and Johanna are buried in the Dysert O’Dea Monastery cemetery which is near Corofin.
